The team at Embankment Kitchen have unveiled their new bar and grill menu, so naturally, we headed down to treat ourselves.

Served up in their gorgeous dining room that blends extravagance with a welcoming laid-back feel, head chef Josh Singleton has taken something of a back-to-basics approach with the new menu, in which enhanced flavours take priority over fancy plating and purees.

Steaks play a leading role on the menu and are cooked to marvellous perfection. We had a gorgeous slab of ribeye, sumptuously tender and served up with a rich stout butter sauce that added a bit of extra indulgence. It was more of the same for the sirloin, too, which arrived flawlessly.

The sticky-glazed pork belly is another particular highlight, shimmering enticingly and melting the moment it reaches your mouth, as is the shredded lamb flatbread, which packs in a mouthwatering combination of spices across what is a very generous serving.

For dessert, there’s a handful of joyous classics like sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie, strawberry & clotted cream cheesecake and elderflower and lemon poached pear.

All sounds good, right? You can book your table using the button below.
