Promising an evening of ‘exquisite entertainment, female empowerment and sparkle’, Ember & The Vixens transform Manchester Art Gallery’s beautiful atrium into a glitzy burlesque den with an adults-only evening of music, spoken-word and cabaret on Sat 22 Apr.
Created by multi-award-winning theatre-maker Selina Helliwell, Ember & The Vixens invite audiences to enjoy a drink in the palatial main chamber of the gallery’s Grade I*-listed Greek Revival building, while ‘jazz fills the air, glittering costumes are all a-flair and showbiz seeps into every corner’.
Following a wildly successful Valentine’s show at The King’s Arms, Helliwell presents the ‘most spectacular’ Ember & The Vixens performance so far. Her previous work includes acclaimed productions The Formidable Lizzie Boone, Fruit Salad and Burnout, and her Festive Foxes Christmas special, also hosted at The King’s Arms, was a complete sell-out.
