On Fri 19 Jan, the wildly talented emerging northern band Gustaffson return to Manchester with their first headline gig of the calendar year at Night & Day Cafe.

Fresh from recording their debut album at the iconic Blueprint Studios with GRAMMY-nominated composer Bear McCreary (Outlander, The Walking Dead) and Craig Potter of legendary hometown heroes Elbow, Gustaffson take over the Northern Quarter institution for one night only with a blistering setlist of instant classics, including Northern Baby, Champagne Socialist and a selection of brand new tracks, as well as an array of tunes from their EP, The Jacaranda.

Alongside an incredible group of special guests and support acts, there will also be a screening of Thom Petty’s award-winning BFI short film, TICKER.

Gower’s effortless understated delivery is particularly impressive given the heart-stopping honesty of his beautifully crafted words and then he unfurls the main sail and wallop – it’s love!” – Guy Garvey, Elbow

Rich, Beautiful and Soulful. Gustaffson is a great balladeer. Soaring heartfelt vocals, perfect arrangements and pristine production make this EP very special. Get some. Love it.” – Peter Jobson, I Am Kloot
