Fresh from an award-winning, sell-out run at London’s National Theatre and the West End, People, Places & Things arrives at Home as an intoxicating play about surviving in the modern world. The play is writen by Duncan Macmillan, of Every Brilliant Thing and Lungs fame, and tells of Emma who has gone from having the time of her life to ending up in rehab. The only thing is, Emma doesn’t feel she is the one with the problem – it’s everything else that has the problem. The only way to survive the modern world for her is to make sure she’s not sober – so why should she sober up? The Jeremy Herrin directed play challenges what we think of as addiction and sobriety and the pressures created by the modern world.
