Most readers of this site will be familiar with Eventbrite as a website for booking tickets. However, the company also runs real-world sessions called ‘How To’, which are aimed at helping the public organise live experiences. The next event in the series is ‘How To Innovate Events with New Technology’, which takes place at MMU’s Digital Innovation Lab – lovingly known as ‘The Shed’. The session is aimed at those planning everything from gigs and fundraisers to huge conferences and festivals, with topics including event technology and tools, live audience profiling, user experience, promo apps and social media. There will talks by leading experts, such as Paul Waters, a lecturer in Events Management at MMU, Julie Sullivan from Eventbrite, and Adam Gosling, the founder of Badman Media. Refreshments will be provided too. Booking is required – please see below.
