If overindulgence over the Bank Holiday weekend has left you craving something a little more gourmet, treat your palate at Manchester Foodies’ second ever supper club (at lunch time). Set up by home-cooks and food fans Anna and Jamie, the brunch party – aptly titled Brunch Club  – seeks to expose guests to simple but flavoursome combinations, with a breakfast twist. Start with the Foodies’ home-smoked salmon with scrambled eggs followed by sour cherry, pistachio and coconut granola with yoghurt, and a tasty array of freshly baked patisserie and cakes including croissants with (yes, home-made) jams, chorizo, courgette and gruyere muffins and pecan, cinnamon and caramel rolls. Even the sourdough and butter have been crafted in the couple’s little kitchen. A ‘umami no.5 Bloody Mary’ (or a virgin one) will be served upon arrival, while guests are welcome to bring their own booze. Hosted at their own house, it’s just like a lunch party – but with guaranteed good food. For more on Manchester Foodies’ ventures, check out their blog here. Furthermore, the last one sold out in record time, so if you fancy this Sunday morning vibe, we advise booking now.
