Before it was ever officially announced, Soho House opening in the city was probably one of the worst kept secrets in Manchester—still, there remains a fair bit of mystery surrounding the whole thing.

The club, spread across three floors and expected to open by the end of the year in the old Granada Studios building, marks the brand’s first foray into the North of England—Soho House owner Nick Jones finally shone a little more light on what to expect from the exclusive private member’s club while speaking at the recent Northern Restaurant and Bar show.

Yes. There will be a rooftop pool

A fairly bold idea in the centre of Manchester, but Soho House will indeed boast a rooftop pool. Along with that, there’ll be more outdoor space on the roof, and workspaces that are transformed into a music venue / club space in the evenings.

Food offerings

So far, we know swish Italian concept Cecconi’s will be included in the plans, as will Mollie’s—an updated take on the classic American motel-diner created by the Soho House team.

Membership prices

This is where things still remain a little ambiguous. Jones pointed out that local memberships will take priority, with about 80% set aside for Mancunians, though the actual price point is still unclear. An annual membership at Soho House London comes in at £1,100, while Little House Mayfair is £700 for the year—just to give some kind of rough ballpark to expect.

According to the website, Soho House members can bring up to three guests at a time to houses.

We imagine more details will begin to surface in the coming months ahead of the opening, head over to the Soho House website to keep up to date.
