Local abstract artist Edward Rex returns to Manchester for his second solo show, Sequester which explores the concept of ‘me-ism’ and self preservation in an apocalyptic world. Working with film, print and canvas, Rex’s work will be accompanied by an original soundtrack by the Manchester-based musician Nev Cottee, a prelude to his third album Night Visions, to be released early next year. The first 20 guests to arrive at the opening may get the chance to buy one of two limited edition screen prints by Rex (printed by the renowned Jealous Studios in Shoreditch) alongside his book Blueprints for Preservation, published earlier this year.
