A new addition to the Northern Quarter’s excellent bar scene, 33 Oldham Street hosts a special photography exhibition this month, showcasing the weird and wonderful that makes up one of the UK’s most vibrant music festivals, Kendal Calling. Featuring previously unseen work taken over three years by One Eye In photographers Scott M Salt and Jody Hartley, the exhibition will run for a month, opening on 15 May and closing 15 June. All of the original A2 prints will be auctioned off on the final day to raise money for homelessness charity Big Change, a part of Manchester Homelessness Charter, bringing together people experiencing homelessness, charities, grassroots groups, the council, businesses and individuals to end homelessness in Manchester. Opening night will see Kendal Calling organisers From The Fields host a drinks reception from 6pm, along with a live set from festival resident DJ Andy Hunt from 7pm. All attendees will also be entered into a draw to win 2 x VIP weekend tickets for the festival, held at Lowther Deer Park, The Lake District, from 25 – 28 July 2019.
