You won’t need beer goggles for a new microbrewery exhibition at Electrik in Chorlton. Beatnikz Republic Brewing Co has built a name for innovative beer and eye-catching can designs from their city centre base in Manchester’s Green Quarter. In October, they’ll gather 16 artworks for ‘When Did Beer Become So Beautiful?’, an exhibition of their brightly-coloured branding. Of course, that also means a takeover of Electrik’s taps with plenty of craft beer creations from which to choose. The independent café bar’s All Star DJs will take to the decks when the exhibition launches on Thursday 5 October – on launch night, you’ll also get a chance to meet the brewers themselves, buy a featured artwork, and bag one-off signed prints from the artist Marcus Marritt.

Thu 5 – Thu 19 Oct, Electrik, 559 Wilbraham Road, Manchester M21 0AE. Tel: 0161 881 3315, Thu 5 Oct 7pm–late, FREE, www.facebook.com
