Victoria Baths is set to open its doors for the 2024 season of Welcome Wednesdays, in which anyone is welcome to explore the stunning Grade II-listed building at their own leisure.

Visitors can grab a brew in the Tea Room, join a guided tour, pop into the gift shop, or take part in one of the upcoming family-friendly activities the venue has lined up.

Welcome Wednesdays start on Wed 3 Apr and run through to Wed 25 Sep. Entry is free from 11am to 3pm with donations encouraged and tours highly recommended as the best way to see the baths.

Victoria Baths will kick things off with a family-friendly focus on Wed 3 Apr and Wed 10 Apr. Expect spring-themed crafts, a free Spot the Egg trail taking place throughout the building, and a play area for little ones.

Also, regularly available to families is the Miles of Tiles activity; a fun way to discover the building with tasks to complete, quirky features to spot, curious questions to answer and a small prize to claim at the end. Miles of Tiles is suitable for ages 5+ and is free, with a suggested donation of £1.

2024 will also see a series of Pool Arts exhibitions taking place at Victoria Baths, beginning with A Work in Progress – a cross-section of the diverse and varied work of the Pool Arts collective.

Pool Arts is a community of artists working to break down the barriers that can exist in the world of art and gets its name from the fact that it began life at Victoria Baths. Pool Arts now have their own studio space, but the relationship continues with their artists contributing to exhibitions and projects taking place at Victoria Baths.

Discover VB tours will be taking place at 1pm on every Welcome Wednesday and are recommended as the best way to experience the building in all its glory. Discover VB tours are £9 or free for Friends of VB and under 18s.

Entry is free for Welcome Wednesdays, although donations are encouraged to support the work of Victoria Baths Trust. Welcome Wednesdays Discover Victoria Baths tours can be pre-booked here.
