Two of Manchester’s heavyweights in industrial instrumental, electronic and techno music promotion come together this weekend in the suitably dark surroundings of Islington Mill to present a series of unrelenting and intense explorations of modern monochromatic electronic pieces from the finest global artists in the field.
Performing will be Dominick Fernow [Hospital Recordings] who brings his hugely acclaimed Vatican Shadow project to Manchester for a full live set, as well as Miles Whitaker [Demdike Stare/Pendle Coven] whose live blending of manipulated field recordings and analogue processed techno makes him stand out as one of the premier producers operating today.
Also performing will be Islington Mill’s resident “industrial warriors” GNOD, and DJ support from Replicunt and Vulj.
Fri 31 May, Islington Mill, James Street, Salford, M3 5HW, 2200 – 0600, £8, http://www.skiddle.com/
