Z-arts in Hulme is a creative hub for children and young people which features a theatre and gallery. Later this month, the venue is hosting Haphazard, an afternoon of art and performance. With its interactive and immersive activities, this free event is aimed at helping children become ‘part of the art’. Visitors can play a round on a specially-created golf course made of canvases, using golf balls dipped in coloured paint. Every roll of the ball will become a brush stroke in a collaborative artwork. Performance artist Katy Baird will be presenting a show in which she aims to sell every piece of clothing she owns. The twist is that no money will be accepted, only ideas. ‘RATS!’ by Katy Dye is a show that explores whether those most hated of rodents deserve their awful reputation. Please see the website below for full tickets, and details of the many other performances and installations at the event.
