The Lost Carnival is part circus, part fictional family feud and part wonder-fuelled imaginarium. Across the Bank Holiday long weekend, the carnival promises adventure, antics and amazement as far as the eye can see on location at Crewe’s Queen’s Park, as the rival performing dynasties of the ‘Birds’ and the ‘Ingénues’ vie for your attention. Between them, they present a cast of magicians, gymnasts, prophets and acrobats, all split between big tops and the open air as conceived by three creatively minded theatre groups from the North West. We covered the event last year, when it was located near Bury in Burrs Country Park and the team behind this production, Wild Rumpus, have just hosted A Day at the Lake (read our coverage here).
We’re lucky enough to have a family day pass (one or two adults and up to three children) up for grabs to one day at this weekend’s event. To be in with a chance of winning, simply sign up to our mailing list by entering your email address into the top right hand corner of our website and email competitions@ManchesterWire.co.uk including with your name, age, telephone number, which day you would like to attend and your Twitter handle. Please write ‘Lost Carnival competition‘ in the subject line. Competition closes at midnight on Thursday (26 May) and the winner will be announced on Friday (27 May).
