One of the UK’s leading comic poets John Hegley is bringing his whimsical tales to the Waterside in Sale for two special shows featuring his humorous creations in All Hail the Snail (and other creatures). Taking the audience, young and old alike, on an emotional and hilarious journey via poems, songs and animal drawings Hegley is looking to get young people to delight in theatre and realise that it’s a participatory adventure. The intimate 60-minute show features live music from one of two eclectic musicians: Eleanor Moreton, who draws on folk, jazz and bluegrass, or Clare Elstow, whose influences include folk, baroque and ragtime.
