Ever fancied packing it all in and living a life of luxury on Castlefield locks? Well, thanks to a brand new Stepbrothers-inspired AirBNB venture, you can.

Created by Manchester-based business partners Erin Short and Harry Wix, Prestige Worldwide (yes, that is the same company Will Ferrell and John C.Reilly’s stupid siblings dream up in Director Adam McKay’s 2008 comedy) has launched The Vätten Hüs, the first in a line of luxury canal boats that allow visitors to soak up everything Manchester has to offer whilst living like a floating VIP.

Spanning 70ft in length, this wide beam, six berth canal boat features two plush king sized bedrooms, an additional sleeping space in its living quarters, a large kitchen and dinning area and outdoor deck seating, perfect for enjoying some late night drinks in the open air. When it comes to style, Short and Wix teamed with acclaimed interior designer, Claudia Chez, to create a sleek inside space that takes its cues from French art-deco aesthetics, packed with gentle curves, scalloped furniture and muted tones. They even managed to hook much-sought-after Northern Quarter florist, Frog, to create Instagrammable floral displays for the boat’s kitchen island and sleeping quarters.

The Vätten Hüs’ city-centre proximity makes it the perfect base for enjoying Manchester’s bustling nightlife and entertainment scene and according to Short and Wix, we can expect more fancy floating AirBNB spaces from Prestige Worldwide in the coming months.
