Christmas is coming and there’s only one way to kick off the holiday season: the Manchester Christmas lights switch on spectacular! This unmissable light switch on event will be held on Thu 14 Nov this year (a week after the opening of the Christmas Markets) and we expect to see brilliant acts on the night, especially following last year’s hard to beat line up, which hosted theatre groups and singers such as Jonas Blue and Max George. Crowds gathered in front of Manchester’s iconic town hall building to see the dazzling decorations light up Manchester’s streets for over two decades – but this year must welcome a new location. With the town hall transformation under way, the event is moving to Deansgate, near the Cathedral.
