Head over to Bolton Winter Festival this Christmas for an action-packed day of festive fun that the whole family will enjoy. Open daily from Saturday 7 December – Sunday 5 January (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day), there’s a huge programme of free and low-cost Christmassy activities and events on offer, so you won’t be short of things to do. Get your skates on and practice your skills on the covered ice rink in Victoria Square, find out whether you’re on the naughty or nice list over in Santa’s Grotto and round it all off with a hot toddy and a bite to eat at the cosy Teepee bar whilst watching some live music. Taking place across the town centre, Bolton’s very own Winter Wonderland will also have street performances, real reindeers, carol singing, children’s fairground rides and a Festive Family Zone with loads of games and activities. You can get to Bolton via regularly departing rail and bus links from across Greater Manchester and the festival has also teamed up with NCP car parks to offer free parking at weekends and Bank Holidays and after 3pm on weekdays at Topp Way, Deane Road and The Octagon. With free entry to most of the attractions and tickets starting at just £4 for a meeting with the main man himself at the Grotto Bolton Winter Festival promises pocket friendly festive fun for everyone.
