Having spent the majority of 2019 bringing a heady dose of locally sourced fun into the heart of Levenshulme, the Levy Market team celebrate their final Night Market of the year – and of the decade – on Friday 20 December. Taking place from 5 – 9pm, this festive final knees up promises to be packed with enough Christmas spirit to make even the most hardened Scrooge feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Getting the party started will be Manchester’s SHE Choir, who will be on-hand to serenade attendees with a selection of festive carols, acapella-style and live from the venue’s home at the Levenshulme train station car park. Artists Emma Reynolds, Gemma Parker and Nell Smith will be putting their sketchy skills to fine use by providing people with 3 minute portraits to take away and they’ll be joined by a wide selection of makers offering handmade cards and gifts and providing a much-needed opportunity for some late night, last minute Christmas shopping. Cold beer and mulled cider can of course be found at the venue’s bar, while a selection of tasty street food from the likes of Fritto and the Ottomen will also be available on the night. The venue will even be collecting donations for local charity Mustard Tree, so you can party safe in the knowledge that you’ve done your part this Christmas. With Levy Market covering all the bases, all that’s left for you to do is drink, dance, be merry and say farewell to work and hello to the ho-ho-holidays!
