Is there a better way to get into the festive spirit than by watching a Christmas classic and tucking into a three-course feast with your friends or workmates? The experts behind Manchester’s creative hub Cultureplex and Bistrotheque restaurant are delivering Christmas in one impressive package with their just-announced private dining and movie experience.

This December, parties of between 10 and 36 can dine in one of the venue’s impressive private rooms before heading into their cosy Mini Cini boutique screening room for a private airing of their choice of movie. Options include Elf, Gremlins, The Muppet Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life.

Food wise, the  Bistrotheque team have whipped up a stellar seasonal menu and selection of cockle-warming classics that are guaranteed to make your Christmas party a memorable one. Start with roast squash, squash seed and pickled radicchio or white crab with celeriac remoulade and salmon roe.

Festive mains include braised pressed pork with shallots and pickled walnut, salmon, crayfish, crispy sea purslane and breadcrumbs or confit celeriac, wild mushrooms salsa verde and celeriac crumb, all served with lashings of  roast potatoes, hispi cabbage and butter parsley. Dessert is a must too. Choose from chocolate cake with minted Chantilly cream (yes please) or candied quince with rice custard and hazelnut.

The festive menu is £40 per person, while your own film screening is £250 + VAT. To book, simply visit the Cultureplex website.
