If you’ve ever spent a night trawling through the darker corners of youtube late at night and wondered if anyone else shared this fascination with odd bods then you’ll be glad to know that you are not alone. Back for their fifth tour of the UK the procurers of curios on cassette are back with a brand new show for their Found Footage Festival. Scouring charity store bins for over 20 years comedians and creators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher showcase their latest oddities and obscurities discovered on VHS and even offering a ‘where are they now’ on the subjects of videos such as The Law Enforcement Guide to Satanic Cults and a star studded Desert Storm parade sponsored by Taco Bell. Pickett and Prueher are your sardonic hosts for the evening taking you on a journey through the bizarre training videos of American companies in the 1980s, strange home movies donated to thrift stores by mistake and all manner of weird and wonderful exercise videos. A celebration of the surreal cult of videotape that’s both hilarious and nostalgic as heck.
