Leading film critic and music-lover Mark Kermode shows off his expert knowledge in July as he heads to the Bridgewater Hall for an evening of his film music picks. Featuring the likes of Mary Poppins, Taxi Driver, The Exorcist, Planet of the Apes and Twin Peaks, Kermode will join innovative conductor Robert Ziegler and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to present classic tunes, emotions and nostalgia. Joining him will be composer and producer David Arnold, known for his work on Bond films and his collaboration with Bjork for The Young Americans soundtrack, as well actor Paddy Considine of The Bourne Ultimatum and 24 Hour Party People fame. All taking place within the space of one evening, this is definitely one for film music buffs and well worth booking before all the tickets are gone.
