Small World Cinema Club is bringing international cinema at an affordable price every first Tuesday of the month at Foundation Coffee starting with comedy-drama Force Majeure in August. A critical favourite and winner of the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Force Majeure is a wickedly funny and precisely observed black comedy that pierces the stereotypes we hold of what a man should be in the modern world. Tickets are free for this first showing but after that will still only be £5 (£3.50 for ‘low income’ customers) when the next two months offerings are Clio Barnard’s Selfish Giant (Tue 4 Sep) and Eric Guirado’s Le Fils De L’Epicier (Tue 2 Oct).

First Tue of the month, starting Tue 7 Aug, Foundation Coffee, Sevendale House, Lever Street, Manchester M1 1JB.  Tel: 0161 238 8633. 6.30pm, £5/3/FREE, www.smallworldcinemaclub.com
