Set up in 2006 by Sankey’s collaborators Sacha Lord-Marchionne and Sam Kandel, WHP is famous for utilising unusual spaces throughout the city, from a disused brewery to Store Street former air raid shelter, under Piccadilly Station. Last Saturday (22 Sep), the three month party of 2018 kicked off in Store Street apparently for the last time (although we’ve heard that before). With extended hours from day into night, it promises lost weekends a plenty between now and New Year’s Day. Many shows have sold out, but there are still some gems left. Our favourites include Daniel Avery, Hannah Wants, Clams Casino and Groove Armada. Here’s the full round up of the tickets you can still get your mitts on.

Sat 13 Oct | Rush Hour ft. Hunee & Moodymann
The Amsterdam Label Rush Hour takes over the WHP for what pledges to be a kaleidoscopic night of house, techno and disco. Headlining is Rush Hour’s rising star Hunee, who recently started his new residency at the Shorditch Club XOYO. Joining him is Rush Hour founder Antal, who’s mission is to educate the masses to the ancestral origins of house and techno, by spinning old classics along side new sound gems. Standing tall is the Detroit techno alchemist Moodymann, who’s 2011 track Dem Young Sconies was described by NPR as one of 10 tracks to have defined the Detroit techno sound.

Joining them is Daphni, the man of many names, (Caribou, Manitoba, Dan Snaith) who’s nocturnal alter ego raps his assured techno beats in a delicately ambient winter coat.
