The bad news is Manchester’s most innovative comedy night is closing down. The good news is, they’re going out with one heck of a final show that you’d be mad to miss. Twisted is genuinely a night like no other, with rules made by the headliner and MC such as doing your whole routine in an accent, or in the style of another comic, and others made up by the crowd on the night. It is a veritable playground for improviser and brings in an audience like no other comedy show in town. Perfect then for the amazing and kaleidoscopic brain of Tony Law, everyones favourite quasi-tangential Canadian comedian. He meanders through his own rules at the best of times so it will be amazing to see what he can come up with as a ‘twist’ for the night. The supporting line up also reads like a who’s who of the Manchester comedy scene with Funz and Gamez’ Will Duggan, rising star Stephanie Lang, Masai Graham, Rob Kemp, Jo D’Arcy and Liam Pickford. All this ably corralled into some kind of order by madcap master of ceremonies Lou Conran this will be one send off you won’t want to miss.
