A new Mediterranean-style beach bar has arrived in Manchester city centre, serving up ice-cold beers and wines, health-drink-infused cocktails and delicious street food from local faves South Manny Flavaz, Platzki and Alex’s Bakery.

Based at Great Northern Square, Great Northern Beach Club is an airy, bohemian-themed hang-out where visitors can idly sit back and watch Manchester return to life whilst sipping on an island cocktail and enjoying some chilled-out summer tunes. Taking its cues from Ibiza’s rustic beach bar retreats, the venue’s undercover terrace will keep customers happy whatever the weather, with space for both pre-booked visits and walk-ins available over the coming months.

In addition to beers, wines and icy fruity frozés, customers can also sample a selection of new and naturally-infused vitamin waters from Number 1, with the Beach Club team using these zero-calorie, zero-sugar flavoured waters as mixers and spritzers and adding them to cocktails.

A selection of delicious street food will also be on offer – including irresistible burgers from South Manny Flavaz, authentic Polish dishes from Platzki and sweet treats from Alex’s Bakery – while Monday 17 May will see the debut of the venue’s Sunset Lounge which promises regular DJ sets, Balearic beats and regular summer events for the whole family, including breakfast clubs, yoga mornings, live entertainment and even festival weekenders.
