Capital&Centric has revealed early details of its £60m plans to renovate Stockport’s Weir Mill, transforming it into a thriving, mixed-use community with waterfront living spaces and an area for street markets, DJ sets, live music and more. Having received overwhelming support from locals, the regeneration project is now inviting local residents to have their say on this proposal to breathe new life into this derelict and historic site.

Once complete, Capital&Centric will restore the iconic original features of the East and West Mill, preserving their heritage whilst complimenting their design with an update that recognises their industrial heritage. This vibrant new town centre community will boast 254 one, two and three bed apartments across existing buildings and two new-build sites. What’s more, the area’s old cast iron columns featured in Weavers Shed will be retained and transformed into a community space for street food, music and more.
