For five weekends this summer, First Street Festival will transform Tony Wilson Place into a vibrant hub of free outdoor entertainment.

Kicking off on Thu 2 Jun, the Jubilee weekend celebrations feature live music and DJ sets from Steve Varden, DJ Paulette, Mix-Stress and others, family events, drag performances curated by Donna Trump, yoga, and much more.

A central stage just outside HOME will form the focal point of the festival, with all events open and free to the public.

A full lineup is yet to be confirmed, though that side of things is in the more than capable hands of HOME, along with four different partnership organisations who will each help curate one of the weekends.

The weekends are:

2 – 5 June (HOME Opening Weekend)

10 – 12 June – Programmed by Brighter Sound

17 – 19 June – Programmed by SM Music MGMT

24 – 26 June – Programmed by All Hands on Deck

1-3 July June – Programmed by The Untold Orchestra

Dave Moutrey, Director and CEO of HOME, had this to say: “We are delighted to be working with these exceptional partners to bring a free, outdoor stage of entertainment to First Street this Summer. We look forward to sharing these five weekends of exceptional Manchester talent with you, right outside HOME’s front door.”
