At a secret location off Dane Road in Sale, mysterious chef The Drunken Butcher is resident cook at the innovative dining club, DineInOut, this month. Expect a dinner party-style environment in a restaurant setting – and a menu that riffs on lamb. Start with fricassee of lamb with sweetbreads followed by slow roast shoulder of lamb, or rosemary mac and ewe’s cheese, before finishing up with a sumptuous dessert of lemon tart with elderflower and ginger ice cream. In keeping with the homely illusion (the big idea is that you are at a dinner party, only out somewhere) guest numbers are kept to a maximum of 12. While alcohol is not served at the venue, guests are welcome to bring their own drinks, in true dinner party style. In homage to our lamb friends, this month’s event is entitled Flock & Roll.
