Arley Hall Food Festival returns this weekend
This weekend sees Arley Hall in Warrington welcome the Great British Food Festival for a weekend of food from local providers as well as further afield. Showcasing the best food and drink from around the country, the festival will also host competitions and talks as well as live music. Suggestions to bring a blanket and get ready for a good old fashioned picnic in beautiful surroundings seem pretty on the mark.

Liverpool fave Bacaro to open in Manchester
For those up on the Liverpool food scene, Bacaro has been a go to favourite on Castle Street for a few years now. If you’ve been noticing the big works going on at Affleck’s Palace, you’ll be happy to know that they are making their way down the East Lancs to open up at the Oldham Street site. With their Italian style small plates (so cicchetti not tapas) it’ll be a welcome addition to the bottom half of the Northern Quarter.
Bacaro, Oldham St, date to be announced, www.salthousebacaro.co.uk
