Book tickets for Manchester Beer Week’s Heineken brewery tours
A whole week of beery events come to Manchester in June 2016. As part of the first city-wide beer festival, beer fans will be able to gain access to the Heineken brewery as well as sample a huge range of collaborations and one-off brews. The historic Heineken building is based on Princess Road and has been Manchester’s beer hub, brewing on the site under various names since 1875. Usually closed to the public, there will be two tours offered to launch Manchester Beer Week (Fri 10 Jun). Places are extremely limited – book here.

Offer of the week: £35 meal for two at Artisan
Spinningfields’ Artisan is currently exhibiting paintings by contemporary artist, Anna McNeil. Working between the UK and Spain, Anna has considered themes of intimacy, unity and isolation for this project. As part of the exhibition, Artisan are offering a deal whereby for £35, you can order starters, mains and a glass of Prosecco for two people from a special menu. Options might include lemon calamari with citrus mayonnaise, asparagus spears with cheese and truffle, oven baked seabass or satay chicken pizza.

New British restaurant Grafene takes on former Brasserie Blanc site
The King Street expansion continues – once dedicated to shopping, its identity as a food and drink haven is becoming stronger by the day. Arriving at 55 King Street is new eatery, Grafene. Run by a husband and wife team, they are also responsible for award-winning Orangery based at Losehill House and Spa in Derbyshire, which has consistently received high praise for the fine dining on offer. Rooftop dining by restaurant group D&D for Spinningfields
The development company behind the Spinningfields site has announced restaurant group D&D are set to transform the No. 1 Spinningfields building. D&D’s portfolio includes London’s Michelin starred Angler and the theatrical Mayfair hotspot, Quaglino’s, so this new rooftop restaurant and garden terrace something a coup for Manchester’s scene, arriving Autumn 2017.
