After many happy years at Tatton Park, North West Food Lover’s Festival has decided to move home, in search of a bigger space to set up shop (and free parking). Event City – one of those big buildings on the approach to the Trafford Centre – is the new location, and though booking are still being made for chefs and exhibitors, this year’s event already promises to be the best yet. Simon Rimmer, Tim Maddens and Ben Finchett are three names confirmed so far, with stalls ranging from Artisan Salt Beef and Shaw Meats through to Costco and Yum Yum Tree Fudge. There will be wine-tasting masterclasses – which is perfect, seeing as you can leave any kids tagging along with you at one of the children’s cookery courses available while you have a glass or two.
