It seems Manchester is coming out of Covid in triumph, as a plethora of new hospitality openings decorate our homepage. Next on the list is new dive bar and underground speakeasy Salt Dog Slims.

Stretched over two floors and over 3000sqft, the new bar will find a home on Bow Lane near Albert Square – cementing itself as the perfect location for a post-work pit stop. Set to seat around 200 people at a time, Salt Dog Slims boasts an impressive space with bare brick walls, red cushioned sofas, and spray-painted artwork dotted around the venue.

The new venue comes from GSG hospitality, who have been waiting to tap into Manchester for quite some time. Now, after a huge expansion across the North West, and eight different brands set up in Liverpool, the team are ready to take on the Manchester hospitality scene.

Working tirelessly to perfect their cocktails menu for our local boozy Brits, as well as an American diner-inspired menu, Salt Dog Slims promises to bring ‘steins, brines, and good times’ to the new spot, opening later this year.

Although dive bars are not a new phenomenon in Manchester, we’re excited to see what sets them apart from the rest. And word on the street is, they’re looking for staff…
