Popular vegan street food specialist Herbivorous is set to open an exciting new micro-restaurant in Ancoats’ General Store from Friday 12 March. The Herbivorous team are already a well-established and customer favourite over at Hatch on Oxford Road; however they are now expanding their delicious and varied plant-based menu to the people of Ancoats via a take-away service and an outdoor dining option from Monday 12 April.

Having showcased their unique vegan menu across the country’s biggest food festivals, Herbivorous are now excited to have found their new home here in Manchester across some of the city’s popular venues and spaces. Herbivorous is loved by regulars for its mouth-watering Big Kahuna Burger and Buffalo Wings with cheesy fries – all of which are completely vegan-friendly. However, with a new venue comes new creations and the creative team are planning to launch many new dishes including a delicious vegan Philly Cheesesteak during their time in Ancoats.

From Monday 12 April when Government restrictions are lifted, customers will be able to enjoy their meals from the comfort of the General Store’s outdoor seating area, bringing a vibrant new vegan micro-restaurant experience to Ancoats. Until then, Herbivorous’ menu will be available for walk-in collections at the new venue or for takeaway on Deliveroo and Uber Eats seven days a week. Check out the Herbivorous social channels on Instagram and Facebook for vegan inspiration and the venue’s daily opening times.
