He’s only gone and done it again. Famed for his unmatched skill of reinventing authentic cuisine, Chef Nico Simeone has created a whole new menu inspired by the irresistible neighbourhood of Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Although perhaps best known for its picturesque views and blissful ambience, this particular region of Italy also boasts some of the best cuisine in the country. In true Mediterranean style, the food is rich in seafood, pasture-raised meats and fresh vegetables; pair that with crystal clear waterscapes and towering, rocky mountains and you’ve got yourself quite the destination.

From Monday 9 Aug, Chef Nico and his team will be serving up a spectacular new six-course menu at his Manchester restaurant Six by Nico for a total of six weeks, ending on Sunday 19 Sep . The new menu allows guests to taste and sip their way across the ocean, with food so authentic you’ll feel like you’ve actually travelled.

Highlights include: Burrata cheese with heirloom tomatoes, green olives, salted lemon and lovage; fillet of seabass served with homemade tapenade, roasted peppers, courgette and a basil puree; Spaghetti Vongole – squid ink spaghetti with clams, mussels, a shellfish foam, chilli and garlic.

For afters: Delizia al Limone – a lemon mousseline atop an almond sponge, served with caramelised white chocolate, yoghurt and meringue. If that doesn’t sell it to you, we don’t know what will.

The magnificent new six-course menu will be served Monday-Friday, from noon til late, at a price of £32 per person. Vegetarian versions of every dish are also available, as well as a selection of snacks traditionally eaten on the Amalfi Coast.
