Mexican street food restaurant Wahaca may be coming to Manchester. Eat/Drink/Manchester reports that the ‘Mexican market eating’ outlet is in the process of applying for a licence in the Corn Exchange, which is currently closed for redevelopment to accommodate more restaurants and a hotel. Wahaca, which was co-founded in 2007 by former Masterchef winner Thomasina Miers, has over a dozen restaurants around London (including in Stratford, pictured), and will open its first outlet outside of the capital, in Cardiff, this November.

Opening date TBC, Corn Exchange, Exchange Square, M4 3TR, www.wahaca.co.uk
