Manchester has clearly taken to cheese toasties as the city’s grilled sandwich faves Northern Soul have opened the doors of their brand new full sit down restaurant. Located on Tib Street next to North Tea Power in the heart of the Northern Quarter, the fried sandwich makers have taken over the old Simple site and have expanded their menu to offer more than just toasties. With a new food roster that now spans breakfast dishes as well as a larger selection of dinner plates, the licensed restaurant also has a full booze offering and a nod to its cheesy heritage with cheese grater lampshades. This new addition to the city marks the store’s third – and largest venue – following the opening of their debut spot on Church Street opposite Manchester’s Arndale Centre and the relatively recent appearance of their cosy hang out on Piccadilly Approach. You can also expect the Northern Soul Grilled Cheese team to make a welcomed reappearance at this year’s Manchester Christmas Markets with their bespoke, festive-themed sandwiches.
