Forced fun: The Star Wars Experience brings interactive cinema screenings to Spinningfields

Calling all Jedis, Siths and lovers of Star Wars: don’t miss your chance to catch the first three episodes of the recently-concluded Skywalker saga back on the big screen, complete with pyrotechnics, during Spinningfields’ immersive Star Wars Experience. These special screenings will be hosted on an as-yet-undisclosed hidden planet near the Crystal Maze between Friday 1 and Monday 4 May and aim to help Manchester celebrate Star Wars Day (May the 4th, get it?) in style. Flames, CO2 jets and staff in Stormtrooper costumes promise an entirely new viewing experience of the classics trilogy, making this a fun one for both fans and curious newbies alike. Friday and Monday evening feature an episode each, with screenings of The Empire Strike Back and Return of the Jedi respectively – but on Saturday and Sunday you can watch all three films in a row – so find somewhere to park the X-wing and get comfy. There will also be food and drink on offer to keep you sustained throughout your marathon movie session. Fancy dress is encouraged, too – making this the perfect opportunity to dust off your Darth Vader mask or Jedi robes.
