The folks at Good Gobble are a decent lot. They like their food, and they like to blog about it too – nothing too unusual for 2013 there. However, rather than using that calorie adoration for their own waistline-expanding indulgence, they’re using it for the greater good, holding an afternoon of tea and cakes to aid the Alzheimer’s Society. These aren’t going to be any old cakes either – thanks to their know-how, knowledge and ability to pester, they’ve got some of the finest artisans in Manchester to donate food, with full list of contributors reading (deep breath) The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, Robinson’s Bakery, Airy Fairy Cupcakes, Frosty Butcher, The Silver Apples, Sugar Bun Sisters, Tea Hive, Tea With Tom, Trove and Ten & Six Teas. That long list means that attendees will be lavished with some of the most sought-after drinks and sweets in the region, all while helping a good cause. Win-win doesn’t really do it justice.
