Arts collective Generic Greeting have been a strong underground creative movement in the city for seven years now, and are celebrating their anniversary with some goings on over the day on Saturday 18th November. Partisan is a cooperative space for independent, community led projects located on Cheetham Hill Road, not far out of town and near the Jewish Museum. There will be workshops suitable for both children and adults based around Autumn visual storytelling, lino and mono printing, headdress making and poetry. Talks will take place from Tash Wilcocks (from creative business school Hyper Island), Michael Holland (Ono), Jane Bowyer (Women In Print) and Ava Szajna-Hopgood (Guac n Roll). There’ll also be an exhibition showcasing art from members of the Generic Greeting crew. The focus turns to music in the evening, with Szajna and Big Peace DJing upstairs at the Soup Kitchen from 8pm.
