Walrus brings the high life to High Street this bank holiday weekend with plenty of free entertainment. Manchester DJ Gareth Brooks will kick off the tunes on Thursday night (25 May) with a throwback to 1990s hip-hop and r’n’b anthems. Resident DJ Jack James takes to the main bar on Friday (26 May) with yet more r’n’b plus house and floor-fillers, while Block Party takes on the basement club with it’s weekly instalment of hip hop, bashment bangers and stone-cold classics. Jack’s back on Saturday (27 May) with warm-up grooves from 4pm. From 9pm Saturday, Mr Kenzo will bring the main bar alive with r’n’b killers or you can nip downstairs for a bump and grind with DJ Robb Rocks. The party keeps rocking on Sunday (28 May) when DJs Vital and Slow Po bring the noise in the main bar. Robb Rocks returns to the basement to finish off the weekend with a bang. It’s not just the music making a splash at Walrus either: drinks packages are available all weekend – and don’t miss their Sunday-Thursday 5 O’Clock Club with special offers on cocktails, beer and house wine. Walrus opens until 3am on Friday and Saturday and it’s always worth ringing ahead to book a booth.
