With cosmic music festival bluedot just around the corner, fans are invited to get in the mood with all-day party MicroDot at Hatch, on Sat 15 June. Teaming up with local property company Bruntwood, bluedot will be throwing a free-entry family day of music, science and space culture. Attendees can enjoy sets from mash-up experts Cassetteboy along with David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie, paying musical tribute to the national treasure. With a full line-up still to be announced, the family-friendly event will also host performers, fun activities along with a night of nature visuals, along with DJ Paulette and Werkha. Giving fans a taste of what to expect at the festival, MicroDot will also feature educational talks from Tim O’Brien, Tana Joseph (Research Fellow at the Royal Society) and the folks from Level Up Human podcast. There will also be screenings of some of bluedot’s best performances from previous years, along with street food, craft beer and cocktails, natural wine, and artisan coffee with an abundance of Hatch’s food and drink traders. The event also offers the general public their first glimpse of Hatch’s recent transformation, which has seen the multipurpose space treble in size with a new stage, social spaces and roof terraces.
