Let’s celebrate the diverse, rich and multicultural city we live in, with Manchester’s first free annual festival. Run by the City Council and held at Platt Fields Park lakeside, a festival wouldn’t be a festival without live music, food or entertainment. Expect a selection of street vendors to satisfy different tastes, mouths and budgets. Entertainment wise, there’s a stellar line-up of live acts including the Amani Collective and interactive performances inviting you to join in. For quieter tastes, a range of talks, discussions and live poetry battles will be held; listen or participate – it’s up to you. Added to this mix, are multiple taster sports sessions and demonstrations. The focus is on family and there’s something for everyone, so come along and join a free day of fun.
