Feed your ears and minds this month with free events at Manchester’s Common bar this month. Friday 8 April sees tune selectors at Dots & Loops celebrate ten years as music encyclopedias by generating your drinking grooves, while Nova is DJing on Friday 15 April (7pm-late) Click this link to a recent mix of his on NTS. With a regular night at The White Hotel called WOM, Nova is your go-to man for all things dark, ambient and dancey. Common Knowledge, the bar’s quiz night, runs from 7pm on alternate Wednesdays (that’s 6 and 20 April this month). There’s also a Bank Holiday special ahead of May Day. Starting from Wednesday 27 April, pop into the bar to take part in their free, no skills required colouring club from 5-8pm, while the weekend kicks off proper on Friday 29 April with a warm up DJ slot ahead of Sounds From The Other City Festival. Local favourite and in the know party starter, Jeff O’Toole, takes over the decks on Saturday 30 April from 9pm until late.
