Enjoy a free afternoon of family fun this Saturday with Hulme Is Where The Art Is. Big hands and little hands alike will enjoy the live music, art stalls and workshops at Hulme Community Garden Centre from noon. For added excitement, don your costumes and follow the Dragonfly Parade from 5pm as it winds from Birley Street to Hulme Park. In the park, there’ll be a child-friendly early evening gig featuring Z-Arts youth music collective Allsorts and soul singer Lily-Jo – she’s previously sung alongside Damon Albarn, Neneh Cherry and De La Soul. There’s no need to book for this event – just pop along from noon.

Sat 22 Jul, Hulme Community Garden Centre & Venture Arts, Old Birley Street & Hulme Park, Stretford Road, Manchester. Tel: 0161 232 6089, 12pm – 7pm, FREE, www.z-arts.org
