Next month sees the return of Manifest Arts Festival, a biennial celebration of North West visual art and creativity that’s specifically curated by a range of contemporary artists. This year’s event looks set to be Manifest’s biggest year yet, with a host of events due to take place across Manchester, Salford, Bolton and – new to the festival this year – Wigan. The team behind this 10 day showcase, Elisa Artesero, Roger Bygott and John Lynch, have 50 events and exhibitions up their sleeves, all scheduled to take place all across two long-weekends in July and all of which are completely free to attend. The fun starts with the official festival launch at Rogue Arts Studios in Openshaw on Fri 12 and continues until Sun 21 July with a wide-ranging selection of talks, exhibitions, performances and workshops on offer. The programme is jam-packed and can be explored fully via this handy PDF, meanwhile full details of Manifest Arts Festival 2019 can be found on their slick new website.
