Local film loving promoters, Above The Line, present the first in a new series of free, weekly film screenings at Yes. The screenings aim to explore different themes, tones or creative processes and each event will showcase at least two films. This Sunday, Her (director Spike Jonze, 2013) and Lost In Translation (director Sofia Coppola, 2003) are showing as part of an evening aimed at exploring the common themes of isolation, intimacy and emotional growth. This Sunday’s event is free and coincides with a a special ‘Suntory Time’ cocktail (inspired by the whiskey of the same name which is advertised by Bill Murray’s character in Lost in Translation) that will be served. There’s a special offer too: buy one cocktail for £5.75, you can get the second for just £1. The evening concludes with two hours of free karaoke.
