You know the old saying, give a man a brew and he’ll drink for ten minutes; teach a man how to fix his kettle and he’ll be brewing up for years to come. That classic phrase, or something like it, is the inspiration behind Sow the City’s Repair Café coming to Moss Side in May to both fix any household items you might need help with and teaching you to do the same should they ever break again. Aiming to reduce waste in the area and to teach folk to be self-sufficient whilst also meeting likeminded people from the community and learn some genuine life skills.
