The highbrow suburb West Didsbury is holding its annual celebration of local and independent businesses next weekend. WestFest will see most of the retail venues down the Burton Road stretch of town host special events and promotions. There will be plenty to do in the area’s famous the food and drink scene, including wine and cheese paring sessions at Reserve Wines. Gurkha Grill will be serving Nepalese food, and the swanky pub George Charles firing up its famous hog roast. Other places joining in the fun include Volta, Another Heart to Feed, and Sip. On the retail side, the ladies from the beauty salons SO and Vanilla Tramp will be dishing out goodies. Sett, a new art space and gallery, will have something for the little and big kids alike.
