Head down to Soup Kitchen this afternoon and have a go at screen printing with Mike Fire of One69a and friends. There will be a retrospective of the screenprinter’s work with the Islington Mill-based Off with Their Heads hosted by independent label Baptists and Bootleggers on display in the basement space, as well as plenty of food and delicious hot and alcoholic beverages upstairs in the cafe. Lunch includes roasts, soup and chilled thrilled like the “Full English” quiche, while an eclectic soundtrack is served up by DJs Savwo, The Colouring Box and Riv. The first 25 people will get a limited edition free print and if you bring your own plain t-shirt, you can get it customised for free. This is the second in a series of three events hosted by Baptists and Bootleggers, showcasing the music, visual and literary aspects of their output. Each serves up a limited edition release and the next is on 23 December in the Soup basement.
